The course is held over 3 days: 

• Friday 6-8pm: 2 hour intro plus demo, so we are set up and ready to do hands on work first thing Saturday morning!
• Saturday 9.30am-5.30pm
• Sunday 9.30am-5.30pm

During this time you will learn:

• History of stones
• What makes a Hawaiian massage
• Our method and philosophy
• Stone heating, care, and maintenance
• Cautions and contra-indications
• Benefits of hot stone massage
• Preparation of stones
• Placement of stones
• Treatments for each part of the body (back, sides, front, legs, feet)

The 16 hours of training consists of approximately 4 hours of health science, 10 hours of hot stone massage practice, and 2 hours of competency assessments.

After completing the course, you will have the ability to create an individualised treatment for any client. By using the radiating heat of the stones, you will gently melt away layers of tension, creating a luxurious treatment for your clients.

Stones and Warmers

We will provide stone training kits for use on the weekend.

If you wish to purchase a set for your own use, choose the Course + stones option or the Course + stones + heater option. These tickets include a set of 43 of the highest quality naturally formed basalt stones, configured to work with the ili routine, valued at $390. These are natural basalt stones direct from the Andes Mountains. They are authentic volcanic stones hand picked direct from the river beds of the Andes Mountains in South America - not sourced from China. Naturally polished and smooth from the elements of the earth - retaining their true healing properties and high heat  abilities making them the best stones on the market. Our 6 litre stone heaters are valued at $160.
